Nila

Home of quality food since 1991

Since opening its doors in July 1991 Nila Indian Restaurant in Rawtenstall has built up an enviable reputation for authentic Indian cuisine.

Nila is a family-run business that was established in 1991 with regular guests supporting us for almost three generations.

We have won some major awards since opening our doors and this is thanks to our professional and dedicated staff.

Nila holds the number one certificate from Lancashire Trading Standards for healthy food – minimising the use of food colouring and additives. We have received the Tripadvisor award of excellence for numerous years and also the award of Elite Restaurant Groups from Lancashire county council.

Our head chef has the nickname “The Curry Machine” as he makes, eats and sleeps curry – continually driving the restaurant forward with his dedicated team of staff always keeping the menu fresh and exciting.

If you are a real curry eater look no further than his hot favourites; Meat, Vegetarian or Vegan Royale and our popular Bahari dish. The Lamb Nihari and Lamb Kajee Bhajee are other top hot favourites while the Muglai dishes are nice for those who don’t like it quite so hot.

Another Nila favourite is the “Chesney Balti” named after local actor Sam Aston aka Chesney from Coronation Street.

We also have our associates in India, Bangladesh and Dubai working in some top 5 star hotels keeping us updated with the mixing of the spices. That is the secret of any restaurant business – the correct mixture of spices and musala.

We are grateful to have such professionals working with us so we can provide you as our guest with quality food always
